Actually the weaponry used against the Kurds was from the Soviet Union not from the U.S. Secondly, Zimbabwe and Rwanda are not hosting the Al Qaeda Militant groups.

As far as Saudi Arabia the thing that keeps that country untouched is the fact that they let us stage our operations for both pretenses for the First and Second Persian Gulf Conflict. We are not getting attacked there. Also, the invasion of Kuwait worried Saudi Arabia that there would be attempt to invade their country. Not to mention we buy most of the oil they sell.

Bush's main interest is the oil in Iraq. There is not doubt about that. His Family is an old oil Family. I remember hearing about that family in social circles long before most held political office. SH understood to control Iraq you had to control the Oil that is how he seized power. The U.S. did not put him in power. He basically controlled the Oil, the Army, what else did you need.

He did use the guise of the Al Qaeda groups to finish what his father started. However, an unforeseen benefit to this was all the terrorist groups started to engage our military while we are there. So in turn Bush got what he wanted. We keep a majority of terrorist are there. We do have some home grown terrorist here.

I don't agree with the way bush conducts most of his lawmaking. However, it is better than being in most country's. Everyone makes mistakes and makes wrong choices. However, most democracies heal just as people do. Now, Iraq is just in it's infancy.

If the US had actually gone to Iraq because of Saddam Husseins treatment of the Kurds, they would have had support. Actually they could have just supported a Kurd uprising at the conclusion of Desert Storm, but they didn't in fact they used the Kurds during Desert Storm and left them to Saddam to exact retribution. The USA created Saddam Hussein, back in the 80's he was a man to deal with, and golly they sold him the weaponry he used against the Kurds.

There was no Al Quaeda in Iraq prior to the invasion, documented fact. Another fact; George W Bush had designs on Iraq prior to even getting elected.

Yeah SH was a complete dictator, but I don't see the US invading Zimbabwe or Rwanda in a unilateral action to save those people.... maybe it's because they don't have oil.

Well Iraq didn't act alone it harbored the group Al Qaeda as did Afghanistan, and various other countries. We are not in the other countries because we have our allies fighting that group for us. The Phiilipino goverment is sytematically handing this group in it's own country. It is the same for other area's this group functions in. I find it funny that our war with the group has been over for sometime. However, we are still there fighting other radical muslims groups who hate what American's stand for. The continue to attack our troops. If they want us out of Iraq then stop attacking troops and people and wait till we leave.

As far as truthful reasons for heading to Iraq. It's former dictator was killing all the Kurds, a mass genocide. If that reason is not enough then I am sure we can add more. Such as the previously stated above reason of radical muslim groups training in Iraq. The possesion of nerve gases banned by the United Nations when Iraq agreed to abide by that treaty. The oil for food scandal in which Sudam and Kofi Annan where involved in. The torturing of Iraqi men for any reason. The devirgination of women by the sons of Sudam on their wedding nights. I am sure I can go on.

As far traveling abroad and declaring America's statue as the only true democracy is not the way I conduct myself. I can't speak for others. I have several friends who live internationally. I have lived in other countries. I pride myself on learning other cultures, languages, and customs. I am never boisterous about anything involving my countries politics.

As for the English I am sure they whine. However isn't New Zealand and Australia itself former colonies of England. I know there were small amounts of Dutch and various other settlers, but a majority english?

Iraq didn't bring war to your shores, your country took it to theirs. Without any truthful reason for doing so.

While I agree no country should be blanded out to the point where it loses it's unique flavour, ie the reason people visit it, it behooves both visitor and resident to treat each other well and embrace the differences. That being said, American's are not treated differently overseas, anyone who goes to another country and brags about being the only true democracy thereby insulting their host country deserves to hear the truth. American's are not the only people who have a dismal tourism image, the English are well known for whining about being forced to eat foreing muck and trying to colonise every country they visit.
