Virginia Tech Massacre

I first would like to begin with extending my condolences and prayers to the family’s and friends of the victims from this weeks tragic shooting on the hokies campus. I hate that the shooter fell through the cracks of our society’s safety guards.  That certain aspects allowed him to purchase those weapons.

Democrats and Conservatives are suggesting we stiffen gun laws. I can not stress enough it is not guns that kill people it is people that kill people. I watch the news almost every night. There is a city here in Atlanta named Kennesaw. It is a law not a choice that each home have a firearm. There has been no school shootings there in Kennesaw. There are no home invasions, no robberies. Now I believe with your permit there is a required safety course. People who want to hurt people are less likely to do so when they know someone will shoot back. 

I just hope the family’s, students, and friends will be able to find closure and forgiveness to someone who obviously had no regard for others. Who centered himself on hatred, envy, and no value on life.  

Today is a victory in Life

In the most gruesome and violent way to terminate a pregnancy was concluded to be wrong and is not legal today, in a vote 5 to 4 by the Supreme Court.  I consider this a victory. If you choose to have sex and get pregnant, I really don’t agree with abortion in any sense. If you can’t afford to have a child, choose to not keep a child, or just don’t know what you want, there are people who want your child. There are several couples who can not conceive there own child despite our medical advancements. They will adopt and provide a home for the baby from your night of debauchery.

Now if it is medically necessary to terminate your pregnancy I believe it is justified.  If rape is the case I would guess your conscious would be your judge.  In society we want to plan everything. Schedules, budgets, and choices is our determination in what happens in life. I have learned this is all great and well. However, I have learned some of the greatest things in life are accidents. There is a lesson in everything if you choose to perceive it. Life is precious and short. Your child is a blessing and a gift and you need to understand they teach us and guide us as we do them in life. Make the right choice follow your heart and remember if your parents had made the choice to have an abortion you would not be here. What would the world be like without you in it?
