Honda Motor Corporation
September 25, 2006
Blogs are a wonderful thing. It shares information with people who don’t otherwise have that information. I am a new Honda Owner. This is my first Honda. As far as the car goes I love it. This car rides great, gets wonderful gas mileage, and is loaded with a lot of options. I have one complaint, my navigation unit says “XM Ready”. I went to call to activate it and found out I don’t have the tuner and antenna it requires to subscribe to this service. If want this capability I have to shell out $700 for the equipment and installation to activite it. So the navigation unit should say “XM Capable”. Honda Motor Corporation, this feature should not cost this much, and you shouldn’t label it like this if you have to add such equipment. I am not the only one that is upset about this. Read the Honda Owners Forums. Instead of spending millions of dollars in consumer research read owners forums and you can learn what needs to be changed.
Treo 750v in Europe
September 13, 2006
The treo 750V has shown up in Europe. The carrier vodaphone is advertizing it. Now price reports have varied but from $175 pounds to free are the reports. Here is something funny it looks like a blackberry. It’s a sheep in wolves clothing. So let’s say you buy a Ferrari and it has a fiat engine is it still a Ferrari? Nice Try Palm!!! Windows Mobile will keep these device in a niche and not in the main stream. It still has to many not keyboard buttons to hang up a call or send, and the useless toggle. It’s not the blackberry’s thumbwheel. If RIM did one perfect thing it is this thumb wheel. I hope it never changes.
Cell Phones in Cars
September 13, 2006
I drive 45 miles one way to work each day. As I travel along I-75 I look at what people are doing in their cars. I would say almost 60% are talking on the cell phones. It makes me want to even invest more in telecommunications. There are so many positives to a cell phone I won’t even go into listing them. Now I do have one negative and this involves cell phones in cars. I have nothing against people using them, I just want them to buy a handsfree kit or a headset. That way you have both hands on the wheel. I have a bluetooth headset, a Jabra BT500 to be exact, and I love it. I do some many things handsfree. I can change the radio channel, I can use my blinker, and I can drink something. It’s like having someone in the car to talk to when I am on the phone. I am not that person with their neck all limped over like they have no spine to support their head. I am not weaving or doing 55 miles an hour when traffic does 70mph. If you can’t afford one then move over to far right lane. Do your fellow man a favor invest in one of these items and sit up straight and watch the road.
ABC’s Road to 9/11
September 7, 2006
Madeline Albright and a few People in Bill Clinton’s camp are upset about ABC’s Road to 9/11 potrayal about how they handled the events that led up to 9/11. Ok, flashback to 2004 a film called in Farenheit 9/11, now this film was slanted in its view of how these was all the Republican’s party fault that we where in Iraq and Afganisthan. It said that the goverment knew in advance about what happened to New York and ignored it. Now someone slants the view the other way and we now have to edit because this is “not the truth”. I have news for you Slick Willy if you dish it out you have to take it. I hope ABC doesn’t edit anything period.
Democrats are great at placing blame and horrible about what doing what is best for the majority of the citizens of the United States. I said “Majority” because as I recall that is what gets you elected. Republicans are not perfect by any means, but at least they try thats all you can ask. Let’s take care of the atheist because they make up 2% of the US, let’s take the flags out of classrooms because its not sensitive to immigrants. I don’t see them doing it for us when we visit or move to other countries. Lets teach the illegal immigrants english at the taxpayers expense. I pay a spanish professor to teach me spanish out of my pocket. I have no issues with illegal immigrants. I just feel that if they want to come to the U.S. then apply for citizenship. The more they merrier. We are a melting pot anyways. Now Illegal Immigrants drain the the taxpayers and we have no choice about it. This is taking money from my pocket and putting it in yours when you didn’t do anything for me. If you don’t want to be a citizen then fine try the guest worker program. If you get chosen for a job I am sorry but you must pay taxes, Medicare, and Social Security. If an american citizen had that job they would have to so should you. Not to mention you would use roads, schools, and other things taxes provide. I believe the Hispanic immigrants have made a sizeable contribution to our society. I just believe that don’t have the right do demand anything if you came to this country illegally they should earn it like everyone else has had to. Pay taxes, obey the laws, and be the productive member of society and noone will even notice where your from.
Samsung SGH-i600
September 6, 2006
I just read an article from msmobiles.com on the new Samsung SGH-i600. I have to admit it is the most feature rich phone I have seen on the market. It has the following:
- 1.3 Megapixel Camera
- Micro-SD Slot
- ROM 128MB, RAM 64MB
- WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth
- 320X240 Display
- Windows Mobile 5.0
- HSDPA, GSM, GPRS, & UTMS Support
This phone has the trackwheel like the blackberrys and push email from microsoft. There is video calling, podcasting download software, and RSS readers. I have to give it to Samsung the features are rich. I just see one issue, Windows Mobile. I support these things and there always issues with it freezing and not liking to synch to multiple PC’s. I have multi-use enviroment. We have upper management using Blackberry’s because that is a tool of our company. Then people who are not issued these devices buy there own Microsoft based PDA’s because thats what my company agreed to support. No more Palm OS based devices. Well anyways go check out his article and pictures. I am a pronounced crackberry addict so as my loyalties are to apple in computers, Rim has my loyalty in phones.
